This IS a Jaguar forum, so you're in good company and semi-immune to us young whippersnappers. I'm 35, but I've been doing this stuff and building/showing cars since I was 17 or so.

Stance and slamming are lowering, correct? Baller and **** mean "good", correct?

"Stance" is more the wheels being as close to the fender as possible - usually involves fender rolling (crimping the metal flat at the fender lip) and stretching (underwidth) tires to get the wheel lips that much closer to the body. Lowering is part of the equation, but wheel offset, widths and tire sizes are equally important. All three things go together.

"Slamming" means extreme lowering. I don't even know if I would say my car in my signature (20-25psi in the airbags) qualifies as "slammed." The 308's pictured in the thread from J-Complete are way lower than my car at the lowest setting and are "slammed."

"Baller" can go either way - can mean bad if they think it looks too much like something a pimp (think Huggybear from Starsky and Hutch if you are old or basically 95% of all customized Chrysler 300C's on the road) would do. Generally if the guy saying "baller" is wearing oversized sports attire, Tommy Hilfiger or other low-end designer label lines then "baller" means good, if the person saying it looks emo (gothic) with tatoos and piercings, he is probably being sarcastic and "baller" is then bad.

"****/Sex" or anything that references procreation with the appearance of an automobile is almost always good.

(this reminds me of the part in Borat where the guy teaches Borat about the "not" thing).

Love the thread. Us young ones might be the only appreciative ones of the thread though. Don't get me wrong, I also love a stock classy Jaguar.

I appreciate the lessons...I do remember HuggyBear, my kids taught me about "emo" when they were in high school, although I never heard anyone who was tagged as being emo, actually say baller and I'm so happy that **** and sex references are still good.
