Default My Subs are here...UPDATE: Shipping Error

My brother ended up buying 8 of these Bostwick HD 350w subs for his car. Only 6 fit, so I kept the other two free of charge . He bought them for $20 each. Pioneer TS-A1672R in the doors. I'm getting these at cost + 5%. I've decided to keep the factory deck, so I need some info on how to tap into the rear amplifier in the trunk.

As for the amp, I'm buying a Swiss Audio SMR6002. It's 600x1 @ 4 ohms, which is perfect because the subs are SVC 8 ohm.

Alrighty, now who's coming down to help me install this stuff next weekend?

I know i'll need a line out converter. I have the premium system, so I need to know what wires I need to tap into in order to use the line out converter.

I'm in Charlotte, NC. I'll be installing it at Myrtle Beach, SC this weekend coming up.

I've read it somewhere before about tapping into the premium unit in the trunk in order to set up a line out converter for RCA's. It was either here or the UK forum...

I'm sure I can find it before I leave to install the stuff, but I'm trying to get everything together as soon as possible so it'll be a smooth install without any issues.

I already have to find a hole in the firewall to run power wire, and I need to find a good ground in the trunk.

Jason have you done any of this? Why do you keep calling this a waste? How about paying someone else to install lights that are self explanatory to install? How can you call it a waste until you've done it yourself or heard someone who has done it right?

Before i got my custom deck i had the rca converter conected right behind the stereo. I had it conected to the rear left speaker so i could still control the bass level. I dont remember what wires i connected at the time as it was a while ago, but i recall the converter comes with instructions for the wire matching. You dont even have to pull the whole stereo out, just take out the astray/12v and pull the harness out and connect the wires.
hope this helps.

This is coming from someone who installed chrome tail light trim and door pillars on a Jaguar...

Anyway, I'm going to install the converter from the sub in the trunk. I'll be disconnecting it anyway, so all the more reason to use the wiring there.

I tried to get him to listen to home theater w/out a sub but I don't know if he did or not...Hey 04x what harness did you use for your system? There is another guy in the s-type arena that needed to know what wiring harness he used but I don't honestly know???

Well it looks like I didn't get an amp. The shipper sent me a Dual 2 Ohm Solo Baric L7 10" Sub. So, since this looks like the shipping error worked out in my favor, I need to figure out what I need to do.

I could build a box for the L7, and it'll probably be louder than both subs I currently have, and I need to buy an amp. What to do...what to do...

That's a steal! You'll be putting 800 rms to that L7 and pounding away! Make sure you make the correct box for that sub! You get the 05-06 version or the 08 L7?

BTW where are you getting that amp so cheap at? I want one! LOL!

You get to your bro's yet?
