Nav screen.. what can I acces? X-type
this is mostly a question for factoryjaguartech.
I would think that there must be access to some diagnostics on the NAV screen. I have found 2 access codes but they dont really give access to much.
If I were the engineer programming the system I would probably have a code to access the DTCs and maybe some of the optional settings like:
remote global close,
auto door locking,
rain sensor wiper setting,
stuff like that
Have you found anyway to get into the system setting without hooking up the Jag laptop?

The software level can be checked by pressing and holding the
‘Phone’ and ‘Menu’ keys down at the same time for approximately 5
seconds - A ‘PIN Entry’ screen will be displayed, enter code 917 and
press ‘ENTER’. The software should be version 8.00 or later.
This is the only access we have been informed of Bojangles. If you know of another code, you know more than I.
This will give you basic info about satellite signal etc.
Nav screen on 04 and up XJ gives you more access. But for global open and close, drip wipe feature etc, you do need IDS.
