I've cleared and fixed nearly all the 46 codes that my generic scan tool has found on the 2002 X type I bought for my daughter, but it's still got some problems with the abs, gearbox fault, cruise control, and sometimes the dash brake light staying on. The only codes my scanner pulls now are P0171 bank 1 lean, P0735 Incorrect 5th gear, and P1000. It's got fresh new upper/low intake gaskets, knock sensor and a bunch of other stuff that cleared up nearly everything engine related and now it's on to sorting out the transmission and abs system. Plan on putting in new front wheel bearings, lower control arms, and wheel speed sensors this weekend and that may fix the abs codes as the wheel bearings are growling pretty bad and I don't think they are OEM style.

Put the instrument cluster in diagnostic mode and got the following codes that by using the tips on this forum I was able to figure out:

D900 (U1900) Climate control network fault
E510 (U2510) Check power and ground to ECM PATS
E511 (U2511) PATS ECM mismatch (just had keys programmed so this may be from that)
E197 (U2197) Invalid vehicle speed


Can't figure out what these last three DTC's translate to:

They're up to 12 years old. Buy an OE-type tool and clear them then see if any come back. Otherwise ignore them.
