2003 X-Type, No ABS Or brake Light On Instrument Cluster
Just purchased a 2003 X-Type 2.5L AWD. It's a bit different than my XJR...there are some things that need attention. One of them is the ABS and BRAKE light on the instrument cluster. When the parking brake is pulled up, the red BRAKE light does not illuminate on the dash. There is no information center on the cluster, just a spot where the odometer and trip counter are.
When I turn the key to the ON position, all of the lights on the dash SHOULD light up briefly...this does happen, however there is no BRAKE light and no ABS light that illuminate. The brakes work properly (or seem to anyway)...the parking brake works as it should...just these two lights never illuminate on the dash.
It COULD be that coincidentally both of these bulbs burnt out in the cluster itself, but that is HIGHLY unlikely. I think there is some sort of fault going on here. Has anyone experienced this or know what the cause is? Thanks in advance, as any help is appreciated!

I have seen odd things with the lights to find out that the last owned covered up the lights with tape or put burned out lamps in to hide problems....some people.
I hope your luck is better then mine.

Took the cluster apart and the SOB put electrical tape over both bulbs. Now to diagnose why those lights are on. Most likely faulty ABS module
