Try pulling the hood release inside the car again.

I actually had this problem before. you see the 2 points where the hood catches onto the rest of the car? there should be 2 places on either side near the front where the anchor drops in. Make sure they are well greased. After I applied black grease to those 2 points, it closed with no problem.

Are the latches moving freely (grease not WD40 (apparently)) and lining up with the catches unser the bonnet?

What are you worried about? You rented it? Or did you borrow someone's ride? Didn't you say you were checking the fluids before you went driving away!

not much help but when I read the story of a car wash guy getting stuck in a landy disco with the keys in it... man I don't miss those days with my landy at all. you could actually lock yourself in your land rover and not get out except for the window,"you drive this time Bo"...LOL,Bill

I'm very curious myself! He already gets the special swagger from owning the land rover so I wonder what its like for the jag? He's probably used to it!

Must be nice that's for sure. I just dropped of the Jag at the shop last week and I was given a Honda Accord as a rental.[:@] I despised the car, so I traded it in for a Grand Prix. Not a huge difference in most peoples eyes, but believe it or not, it's a lot faster and smoother and I'm as pleased as I can possibly be without having my baby.

Prix's are nice! You didn't drop it off at a jag dealer than did you? They should have given you a jag if so![:@]
