Haha I am starting to relax more and more. They dropped of the land rover
this morning and took the jag. It was a different person who picked it up
than who dropped it off. He didn't seemed too concerned about it, but who
knows how the dealership may react. If I dont hear from them in the next
two days it shouldnt be a problem.
I was pretty pleased with the jag. The engine sounded great and it is very
classy inside and out. I never actually drove it since I broke the hood soon
after I got it. The land rover just cost 3000 in repairs for a steering pump,
valve covergasket and belt. They want another 2k for something to do
with the abs, but I stopped it there. Who knows perhaps a jag is in the
near future. You all have a great and helpfulforum here, if the hood becomes
an issue ill let you know.
Thanks a bunch,
Jon

hey jon what kinda landy you got. had mine for just under 2 yrs and spent close to $7k keeping on the road. won't be doing that again real soon. traded my disco for my 02 xtype sport, so far less money, more panache, more realiable, more options that actually work and my mechanic can't remember me since I'm not calling or at the shop every week! just a blast to drive, my 3yr old little girl loves the jag, the wifey thinks it's sexy, and old people actually point, like,Wow honey we should have gotten that instead of the caddy(lol). good luck with whatever you choose, Bill
It was a pleasure reading your post bill. LOL! Makes me glad that I didn't get that land rover that I was looking at about a year back. Hope we don't hear from Jon again, that is unless he buys a Jag
I had an 05 Land Rover LR3 SE7. The thing was a beast but drank gas and was a fortune to maintain- makes me glad Ford owns Jag and parts are readily available. I loved my rover. Sold it and bought an 04 Chevy Tahoe Z71. The Tahoe was the biggest POS I've ever owned- so I flipped it 3 times then bought the Jag

Land Rover is owned by Ford too though!

Land rover may be owned by Ford, but I don't know of many land rover parts being the same as ford parts. The Jags share many parts with fords so they come with ford prices, not so much on the LRs.
