Default Need rim help

I got a new set of SSC Style 28 in chrome rims went to get them installed and the studs were to short that were on the car. Does anybody know how to get longer studs for Xtype. The rims fit fine but not much thread on the nut holding them on here a pic of it

gragner, are you using the correct lugnuts for the rims. You will not be able to use the Jag factory nuts, but will have to go with an aftermarket acorn nut. Look into the rims and verify the type of nut that is needed. I bet you will find then that the studs are plenty long.

Are you sure? You need minimum 6-to-7 360 degree turns with conical seat lugs. Jaguar studs are annoyingly short, but we have stupid UK-only countersunk lug nuts on our cars. You can get longer ones from Pep Boys for about $1.50 each.

You'll need something like these for the aftermarket wheels...

They are about 10mm shorter than most. If the wheel backpads are over 16mm thick from the bottom of the cone seats, it gets a little sketchy. Likewise, shaving wheel pads to less than 9mm starts to be too short for the factory lugs.

Basically Jaguar doesn't want you to pop through the stainless lugnut end caps, so they keep the studs short.
