Default Need some advice front lower control arm

So...things were crazy at first but I got thru a lot of the other stuff...but now that I'm almost done the last rear bolt in the control arm won't slip out the vertical one. I know the instructions say to loosen the the sub frame. Things I've never done that in any car. I see three bolts and the instructions say do not remove completely..so here's a pic, do I loosen all three and how long are the bolts so I don't accidentally pull it all out or is this even the right bolts..lol

The do not remove is a caution to not completely remove until it is braced (see video).

This video is spot on for the Jaguar X Type. The caution (& problem if it happens) is the 21mm bolt can "strip" the captive nut that is supposed to hold it, mine did. I took drastic measures to get it out. I'll post a pic. Afterward another member posted a way to access the "captive nut" by cutting a small access hole in the interior floorboard. Wish I had seen it, lol.

If you run into the problem =

Also, as per learning from another member, reverse the rearward bolt on the arm so that the nut is on the top. This eliminates the need to drop the subframe in the future if ever needed again.

This bolt, reverse =

My mess to access the "stripped" nut =

Okay...let me see if I get this...The video showed the same (2) 10mm bolt and the big one, I put a support (a jack in my case) underneath the sub frame when taking all 3 bolts off then slowly let the support (jack) down off of the sub frame..then that will give me the wiggle room to get the bolt off. And remove the the arm. If that's it then my next question would be should do both sides at the same time so that sub frame bolt will be off at the same time and thus give me more wiggle room or should I do one at a time. I was hesitant to just take them off I thought something would go terribly wrong.

I did both sides at the same time. Unfortunately, if you are really interested, you can read my thread on the saga of what I ran into, lol. Had I not had the problem, both sides would have been completed at the same time. Luckily, because of the admonition to reverse that rear arm bolt w/nut on top, I did not have to drop the subframe the second time.

I started to take off the big 21mm with impact and it won't budge and it starting to show signs of stripping, wouldn't it be easier to cut off the vertical bolt on the lower control arm and remove the arm then just buy a new bolt and install with nut on top avoiding the 21mm bolt?

Are you talking about the bolt (in the rear of the arm) shown in my picture or the one in the sub frame?

If it's the arm, I had no problem on either side removing the nut from the bolt. AGAIN on reinstallation, reverse the bolt with the nut on top. And take your impact gun and throw it away from you as far as you can when working on an X. Use a breaker bar if need be. Although the removal video shows the British tech using an impact often, my experience has not been good. Rust, age etc. has not been kind in removing parts. Just m.h.o.
