to anyone who has a 2004 or later X with reverse parking assist -

can you take a look at, and possibly a picture, the rear parking brain unit. it is in the spare wheel well, on the left hand side. there are 3 plugs on the one i have (16, 12, 12), but the sensor wiring harness i got from the dealer only has a 12 pin connector and there is a 16 pin connector right next to where the brain unit goes, but i cant see any other 12 pin connectors anywhere in the area. i have the jtis instructions, but they are for the older style unit which has less connections.

It's a parking assist that helps you out when backing up in order to not hit something behind you lol

Speaking of being screwed without a car that has it....we were up at the hospital last fall when my grandma was passing away and we came out at like 9pm and go out there and my cousin parked near me in the parking lot with their 2005 explorer limited and a brand new cadillac literally parked into my cousins explorer. Now mind you they are both nice cars...the explorer would be around 35-40k and the cadillac was probably 50k+...so anyways I ripped out my digital slr and start taking pics of the freaking car stuck into my cousins car and the problem is my cousins car is a lease...well my black cousin comes out and is like cool about it and I was like ready to throwdown for em...I would have been sooo pisssed[:@][:@][:@]!!!!! So this other black couple comes out and it ends up being their car... they look and are like "oh they aren't touching.....besides my parking sensors would have went off when I got close" WTF-are you a retard???? We were like do you seriously see that? You cannot stick your hand in-between the car...anyways the lady was like the biggest biiiatch in the world ever...she put up this snobby I'm rich kind of attitude it wasn't even funny...usually people are like oh were soo sorry I feel so bad...you know what I mean? I seriously wanted to fight the lady!

Needless to say the guy backed up really slowly and all you could hear was this super loud POP...POP....I was waiting to see what happened after that...well that noise would be my cousins front license plate bracket stuck in this guys escalade that had only been out for a couple of months at the most that was probably only a week old...well the cars were touching and my cousins bumper was pushed in but his car was fine and the escalade had two 1/2 inch holes with marks in the middle of his bumper!!! HA HA jerk!!!

Man was that the icing on the cake and it made me feel good even though it wasn't my car!
