x-type sport/w manual trans and a 3.0 engine. I was just hoping you guys could help me diagnose a clutch problem.

 

So the other day under normal driving conditions I had the clutch all the way in and it felt like something snapped on me leaving me on the side of the road unable to shift into any other gear.

 

It's in the shop right now and they're telling me that they're going to repair the master cylinder. The pedal is really floppy right now till you get it near the floor, but then you can't get it to go all the way down.

 

Sorry about the short post, but for some reason I couldn't get anything longer than those. Any advice would be very helpful seeing as I haven't been to this mechanic very many times, but I'm just not sure I trust them yet.
