New Fogs+Black Gloss Grilles+Spray Painted Bumper
Hey fellow Jag enthusiasts!
It's been a while since my last post because I have been really busy with the X.
My horrible old bumper got a makeover with spray cans and after a week of work (sanding and buffing mostly) it came out really nice.
In addition I sprayed some VHT Nite Shades on my grilles to give a more modern and aggressive look and it really transformed the car into a mean looking machine that demands attention on the road.
I know there has been lots of debate on adding halos to this car and I can agree with most that they look tacky on Jags. But...it turns out they look great as fog lamps. The fogs I bought come with a pure white LED halo and a big LED in the center of a projector that can match the brightness of 55W HIDs with ease. They look incredible as both DRLs and fog lights.
Let me know what you all think!

Thanks! I'll try to get some better shots after I wash it haha. I went with the VHT Nite Shades because that stuff is easily removable with some 3M adhesive remover. So if I wanted to I could go back chrome grilles and bumper inserts at any time. Pretty versatile stuff!

ah! i never considered using it on chrome and never thought about the fact that its removeable. Is that the same stuff people use to tint their taillights? I never liked it because I heard other people stuggled with getting an even coat. Its like spray paint right?
I tinted all my markers / tails with vinyl wrap.
It looks awesome what you did with it

Thanks for the post. They look superb to me and have given me some inspiration!! My fogs still work on ocassion but fill up with water when it rains and look appalling. If I ever get around to swapping them out .............. ( i have a long to do list...) would be great to know where you sourced the parts. Any info on how you wire them up to allow halo only as well as halo + main?

After doing some fitting I noticed that I should have purchased the 3" (which they also sell). They are really easy to mount and there are zero fitment issues if you buy the 3 inch ones.
Wiring was also pretty simply. The center LED foglight was just wired into the existing foglamp connection (green=power, black=ground). The halos were just t-tapped into the parking light wires. They look great on the jag and are much more stylish and cheaper than OEM housings. Additionally, projectors in the fog lights focus the light better on the road and look cooler.

That does actually look very nice. I had to look twice before I saw the Halo thing and what made this mount look so good. I just replaced mine with Samsung LED's but lost a bit of light in the process.
Could you please elaborate on the fitting work, I mean do they fit right in or do you have to use crowbars and chainsaws to squeeze them in to place...?
Could anyone enlighten me as to if this mounting would comply with EU regulations?

I ended up using a picture to help with the mounting process. The foglights DO slip right in and the back mounting on them can be adjusted (see pic). You will have to make to small holes for the mounting bolts to go through (see pic). I have no idea how strict EU inspections would be so I can really comment on that. Hope this helps everyone
