New Grill
Just installed the new mesh stainless steal grill on my 05 Jag and wow, what a differance it makes! Got some tips if you are installing it yourself....was a little tricky but got it done in 45 minutes......
Well worth the 89 bucks!
Hey, anybody know where i can get some performance engine tweaks at?
Thanks

RE: New Grill
You can get the lower one a jaguarxp.com, and arden.de have it, also if you type jaguar lower mesh grill in a search engine there shud be a few sites with em. Imstallation is a little hard as you have to take out the lower bar which i had to cut as i wanted to keep the part that held the foglight wires in place. (it took me about 4 hours to do, but that was because i didnt really know what i was doing, and didnt have the rite tools. The grill comes with instructions, which are pretty simple enough, just that i didnt read them. One the lower bar is out, the mesh is a simple install. good luck

RE: New Grill
Both upper and lower grills can be had from Jag. They are both available in stainless (doesn't rust... not some cheap chrome that will chip off) or black. The lower grill is the "R" grill, which seems funny to me as there isn't a X-Type R...
The Arden piece has a black rubber strip around the lower grill. I'm not a fan of it. Plus, it's a lot more expensive.
The upper grill comes with a chrome surround over the parts counter. I think I paid $200 for it, but I removed the surround and replaced it with my color-coded Sport surround. The lower piece was about $350. But I think it looks pretty good. Plus, it's more protection for your radiator, condensor, and trans cooler. I picked up a rock through my stock lower grill and ended up with a $1000 bill to replace the slplit radiator. Jag wouldn't pay and the car was stranded 100 miles from home.[:@] After the replairs, the service manager reccomended the "R" grill. Of course I had to buy the uppe rone to match!

Nice Job racer......looks good mate
Love the look of the upper mesh grill and of course if you're doing that you need to do the lower to match.
Me personally, it'd have to be the black mesh.....soooo sexy.
Its sumthin I need to get around to doing, thats if I keep the X for much longer.
