How was the clearance with the 19x8.5 +35s on 225s? Any room for less offset/more tire without sticking out too far?

How wide are the wheels, and what size tire? What BRAND of wheels are they?

nope, you'd want ET42 or so to get a 235/35 on there.

8.5" front and 9.5" rear. The tire size is 235/30 and the wheels are made by Modular wheels.

Thanks for the info... I ended up going with a 19x8.5 +35 front and am going to use 225s. Just waiting for my tax refund so I can get my coilovers. Cheers

Nice, post pictures when you are done. I just put on the 2005 sport front spoiler from Mina. I'll get more pictures up, as I don't love the skirts and rear valance on non-black X-Types, but this looks good.

HAHA we are going to be twins... I have a 2008 grille / front lip / rear lip spoiler all waiting to go on as well. I'm not a fan of the sides/rear either. I might try to figure out some sort of rear diffuser since I hate the crappy gray plastic lower bit on the rear bumper too.

I was actually going to go with Modular Wheels VR05's, quite possibly in 20 inches after I rolled my fenders. are yours 5x108 or something like 5x120 or 5x112 with an adapter?

and it's not exactly the smoothest streets here, but I think I could make it with 20's. I see people daily who have 22's and 24's and I never hear anything about bent rims. It's nothing to take driveway precaution and pot-hole swerving 101 anyways.

Most bolt pattern adapters are the equivalent of using a 25-35mm spacer... Good luck finding wheels that will fit right and not look lame. Just get 5x108s

that's always been the plan.

1) see if these VR05's can be made in 5x108

if not?

2) then 19-20'' Coventry's it is.

Mine were direct bolt-on. 5x108, high offset (I would like the rears 10mm more outwards) and hubcentric. You just call highline wheels and lie to them that you have an S-Type - then all is good.

I just spoke with a rep from MW, they say they do builds from 5x108 to 5x130, so now I guess it's just a matter of putting a down deposit online through a payment method I trust.

lol, do you think that "lie and say it's an S-Type" motto works with the big brake kits available for the S or nay?

interesting, I didn't think XK or XJ wheels shared the same 5x108 lug pattern as S-Types/X-Types.

those were direct bolt-on for you too? I may have to make an advance on those

No, only S-Type is 5x108, the others are 120. You must specify "S-Type" to them.
