just purchaced a 2002 x-type, and it ahs these 2 plugs on the front bumper ,between the headlites on each side . no one seems to now what they are .could some one help?

 

brivs19, first off, welcome to the Forums. I think you will like it here as there is tons of information to learn about for your car and we pride ourselves in being a better car club. As for your question, what you are asking about is known as the headlight washers. They activate on every 5th pressing of your windshield washer system. Unfortunately, you can only buy the complete sprayer assembly, not just the little cover. Your local dealership is going to be about the only one that will have something like this unless you can find a recycler on say E-bay that will sell you the washers. But, that is going to be a fairly hard find as this was not a popular option on the X-Types.

 

I've seen the headlight washer covers by themselves on ebay.
