Just thought I'd post a pic of before and after of my new Mina Surrounds..

I know a lot of X'ers dont like the chrome, and I dont a whole lot either in most cases, but I thought these came out looking Real Good!

The guys at Mina took care of me too.. I doubt I'll order Jag extras from anywhere else from now on. They have good stuff and great customer service... If your thinking about a mesh insert, surrounds or anything else, I'd definitetly check them out.

Originally, I was going to try and get all the chrome off, but I decided to just add to it a little bit and make the car stand out a little more.

I'd have to admit though, if I didnt have a black one, I probably wouldnt have added any more chrome.

 

Thermo removed all the chrome from his car. It's the same color as yours. It looks pretty damn good too. When I saw it in person, I thought he had a Sport model.

To each his own. If it looks good to you, that's all that matters. Now if you start scouring ebay looking for chrome glove compartment handles, then you may have a problem.

 

The after pic looks great! I think you made a good choice. The chrome trim gives a more classy look to the car. If I didnt have a sport model Id get those surrounds on mine. I think the front headlight trim looks good on non-sport models too.

 

Strafe, I am old school (and an owner of an S) I personally love the chrome!!! I too ordered through Mina (tail/headlamp chrome and side markers, window pillars and mirror covers) be BOLD and stand out from the crowd add more if you like it!!!

I personally bought the front&back surrounds,mesh inserts,mirror and pillar covers from them and I think they were great.The more chrome or chromelike plastic on a Jag,the better.

 

I am a chrome fun too may be chrome bug would be more correct word lol .Still I'm one of the believers that states chrome looks better onto the darker colors than lighters colors

 

Any of you guys/gals who like chrome know where you can get the top of the door peices (at the bottom of the window). It kinda looks imcomplete with the chrome going around the top part of the windows, but not on the bottom. I've looked everywhere, but have had no luck.

 

Try posting in "items wanted" I am sure if they exist one of the parts guys here will locate them.
