Question New owner

After 40 years I got another Jag. a one owner, 2007 X-Type with 33500. The dealer told me the car was certified as a Select Edition. The price for the warranty would be from $2000 to $5500, depending which package I selected. I thought felt it was too expensive and declined the offer since I only paid $20K for the car.
Is this a typical price for the warranty?

around 1000-2500$ usually depending on what it covers.
my gf paid i think $2200 for "bumper to bumper" which has yet to cover a single thing. it basically covers driveline, starter, ecu, and power seat motors...i think thats about it.
yer better off spending a few bucks on tools and post any issues on here...then when its out of your league bring it in.

congrads on the jag.. they drive amazing and are great in the snow!!

Congrats on the car, and yes that's the typical price. I also bought mine used from an Infiniti dealership and they are offering me a 3 year 35k mile warranty for $2900, finance manager said its because its a jag. But im definitely going to buy it, I have 60 days to decide.

Aftermarket warranties, or extended warranties from Jag itself are a lifesaver. If not, stash about $3k away, just in case (or should I say...when in case) I know that isn't proper grammar.
