Wink New to the scene

Well wanna start of by saying i love my jag . I bought it 2 weeks ago, already changed oil, x-case oil, tranny etc. Since i heard they tend to go bad, i just wanna be on the safe side. : ]

As for the car. It's a 2003 X-type. 93k miles and only paid 3k. No problems, everything is mint. Only fail is that it's missing the jag emblem in the hood and MPG are kinda harsh lol.

Welcome aboard, Sarge!!! Good to know there is another quartz X-Type running around Milwaukee. Sounds like you got quite a deal. You buy it privately or through a dealer? Hope you have as good luck with your X as I have had so far with mine. Have had it almost a year and a half and it's up to 63K miles.

You're in good hands on this site. Lot of good and helpful people.

Bought it off my cousins best friend. Stories goes, he was being deported back to mexico and needed cash. It's kinda sad, before i bought this, i was a big DSM fan lol.

Thanks much, am reading and searching around for future reference.

sargkiller, welcome to the group. I'm sure you will be talking to us a lot and probably hearing a lot from me. I tend to do a lot of troubleshooting on these cars. so, if you need a little bit of help, let me know. I'm sure the others will have words to say about this.

As for the missing Leaper on the front, someone went through a lot of heartache to get rid of the leaper as they had body work to fill in the hole that is there. So, putting the leaper back on is going to be fairly difficult unless you can find someone that is not wanting their leaper covered hood and just happens to have the same color car as you. Then it would be a simple hood swap. That is up to you.

Enjoy the forums and keep posting away.

For 3G you can drive it like you stole it. Oops, unless it was already stolen...JK. How well do you know your cousin's best friend?

Hope she stays realtively trouble free.

Lol wasn't stolen, thats for sure. He was second owner of the car. I know him enough to say this car is legit haha.

That car looks fantastic; LOVE the color. Also the first car I've seen with the same wheels as mine. Those are BY FAR the best looking wheels available for the x-types. Congrats. DSM's are certainly fun (16g 2g), but I'm not 18 anymore and tastes EVOlve.

I like those wheels, Sarg. For me though I still like the look of stock Aruba wheels best, but that's me. If you paid $3k for the car I can only imagine what kind of deal you got for the wheels.

Your car looks like it is a Sport model, but the front grill on Sport models are black with a body color surround. You have a chrome grill on yours. Maybe that has something to do with the hood not having a hole for a leaper.

What a steal at 3k. Unless the tranny or transfer case is about to die. But if they are in decent condition, then let me say that again : what a steal.

Great color, very nice looking wheels. I like!

Tranny, and x-case are in good condition. I've done alot of mechanic in cars like dsm, and other. So am sure i got a decent car. : ]

Bought the rims, am ordering tires as of now, am looking to get 18/245 ? or are they to wide ? Am looking to get an aggresive look on my jagg.

The stock wheels you have on your jag ARE very aggressive and those are NOT common wheels
