Default New X-Type Successor - artist concept

Wow, it's gorgeous! Hope they don't lose much on the way from concept to production.

Wowey! I love it, honestly Tata is doing such a good job for Jaguar. They are really pushing them in a whole new direction.

Wow! That looks like a nice tidy car that is nicely proportioned. Even looks like some cool LED driving lights. Love the look of those in the new Audis when you see them in the rear view mirror. Wish they would have an awd option on it as rear drive isn't a good option where I live in the winter.

Yeah, seems like Tata is doing a great job with the company so far. Also nice to see they are getting back into racing. Saw an XFR in yesterday's Le Mans series race. Althoigh not competitive (yet) at least they are getting their feet wet again.

They always seem to lose some of the wow factor from concept to production, but I agree that if the final product looks this good, and is a higher quality car, I'd love to own one. I love the tight lines and design details.

Alfdude, are you referring to the Audi A4? It's a gorgeous car, and available in both RWD and AWD editions. The AWD one is high on my list of cars to consider when it comes time to replace my X-Type. Might be a while though - so far, I'm only at 34,000 miles and haven't had a single mechanical issue on my X. At this rate, I'll likely keep it for another 5 or 6 years at least.

I would highly doubt there would be an awd model. AWD is going by the wayside as quickly as you can say CAFE standards. In todays world though it isn't as needed for most as one would think. Proper winter tires and traction control are nearly as good as the X-types awd system is as far as safety is concerned without the weight and mileage penalty. That said as a skier I kind of need something with a little more than what the masses who don't go to work anyways when it snows. They simply clog up the roads so I can't plow them.

I was referring to the new Audis and their LED parking lights. Not sure if the new A4s are light that, nbut I know the A6s have it. When you see just that line of LED lighting they have on the front, to me it just looks so menacing.

The car is nowhere being a successor for X Type , it rather looks a shrunk XF lol
I reckon that would reach better sales figures than X Types despite X being so cute

Jaguar has abandoned the 2 headlights on each side, now they will probably go for the newer xf look with the big grille.

And I'm a fan of hood ornaments.. it just looks so classy. This new 'badge' they started using a few years ago is not up to par.. Although I like the addition of the large leaper on the back.

I am a fan of hood ornaments too . The badge is nice but the leaper is just outstanding and eye catching .
The leaper on the back is a good add-on but I would like to see a JAGUAR nameplate on the back too

lets hope, its time for jaguar to make a recovery, and for the 3 series to be put to rest by the cat, or out to pasture
