Default No rear passenger tail light

Hey guys.

Ok I am puzzled by this one. I turn on my lights and I have no rear light on the passenger side.if I hit the brakes I have lights, turn signal yes, back up, yes.. I have checked the fuses and even switch out the light assembly. Still nothing. Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks,
The Dr.

Sounds like a broken wire to me.

Check for power with a multimeter and then work back.

Dr Dome, remove the tail light in question and lay it in the trunk of your car (atleast only the plate that the light bulbs are attached to). Now, remove all the bulbs from the housing. At this point, turn on your running lights and install the running light bulb. Did it light? If no, then odds are your problem lies with the ground wire to the tail light. If the running light came on, now start installing the bulbs one at a time and checking the function of that bulb. Lets see what bulbs you can get in and which ones you can't without causing some problem. I have a feeling that what you are experiencing is one of your multifunction bulbs (the combo brake/running light) was not in correctly and it was causing voltage to be where it shouldn't.
