hi guys, my car rattles horribly at the moment, x -type 2.5l 2001 model.

i took it to a garage who immediatly said "thats a tappet"

i said can i leave it with you, he said alot of investigation is needed to find the tappet which has the problem and would cost a lot of money,

so he put some wynns hydraulic lifter additive into the oil, but its done absolutly nothing to quiten the rattle.

i only got teh car a month ago from a dealer and i have a years "Customer Protect Gold Warranty"

has anyone had any problems using the above warranty and do you think they would cover a tappet repair job as ill book it in somewhere if so, maybe even jag?
