Sounds as if the battery may be weak. Try jumping it with a booster pack, or another car if there is one available.

JagXType, put a multimeter across the battery. It should read 12.6 VDC. If it doesn't, put a charger on the battery and get it up to 12.6 VDC. Now, with the multimeter still connected across the battery, attempt to start the car as you are watching the multimeter. What does the multimeter go to? If it drops to 11.0-11.5 VDC, the starter is getting power, but for some reason, it is not developing enough torque, therefore you most likely need a new starter. If the voltage drops to under 11.0 VDC, you have a bad battery, replace the battery. If the voltage is staying up at 12.6 VDC, you have a start signal problem, write me and I will give you more checks to do.

This will give us a starting point and hopefully back on the road here shortly.

I'm having a battery/starter issue as well. Mine will crank, but it only goes.. click, click click.

Tried jumping. Didnt make a difference at all, still..click, click, click.

Tested battery. I cant remember if it said 12.1 or 12.6, but it was definitely 12.something

I'm thinking bad starter? If it's the starter, should I go brand new or will a remanufactured be as good as new, in your opinion?

Its your battery. I just replaced my ORIGINAL jaguar battery yesterday morning. The car is from florida, spent a few mos in nc, and now that its in NY the cold has proven to kick the stock batteries ***. Trust me. Get a 740+/- cca battery you will think its a new car. It will turn over FAST and start fast, and believe it or not my throttle response has increased like 50% and the car is MUCh quicker feeling off the line now. Dont ask me how it works but read my thread I made a few hours ago. You'll love your car all over again getting a new battery.
