So I tried to follow the threads but it has jumped all the way around, from the cable needing to be adjusted to that not working-- to that working again, to that back to not working, for it to have been the bushing the whole time, am I correct? Just very confused on this one here.. if someone could please clarify in one place.

Where would one go about locating a replacement bushing? And this is the bushing that connects the adjustment cable into the transmission itself, right? Again, thanks for all your help, Dell

I have the same problem, but unfortunately I don't have a donor car.. Where can I find this part? Jag dealer informs me that it is "obsolete" and unavailable. Have tried Mazda, Ford and others dealers whose cars supposedly shared this transmission, but have had no luck. Does anyone know a source?
............. or do I have to fabricate this part?
