I was told by my extended warranty company EasyCare, that if I dare change anything to non OEM parts (even the mufflers) that I could/would limit my warranty (the non OEM mufflers would limit the powertrain warranty).... Regardless of their reasons, I decided to wait, but now that I have no warranty, I'm starting with an annoying poorly designed feature of the Canadian X-Type. Jaguar decided to meet the Canadian Day Time Running Lights requirement by making the X-Type think it was perpetual night in eliminating the Auto Lamp Sensor from the Master Lighting Switch. So I've bought the US Master Light Switch hoping the wiring harness would be the pinned the same where the Canadian Switch had ust eliminated the Auto Sensor.... after installing it was not the case. Has anyone in Canada done this? With the Nav System it would be really nice to have the Auto Dim feature working along with the fact that the dashboard is constantly on when in night mode.
