Default OBD2 Port

Have an odd problem with my OBD2 reader/ port. I am getting power from the port and I can connect to the reader with Torque (full ver) but when I try to read the codes it says that it is not connected to the ECU. I know the reader is fine as I have tried it on another vehicle. The battery in the car needs to be replaced so I am having to jump the car, so not sure if that may be related to the issue. The green and yellow lights are blinking away on the OBD2 adapter and I know I am connected to the adapter itself. Any suggestions on maybe some fuses to check. I will be swapping out batteries tomorrow. On a side note I did have a fancy 800 dollar scanner on the car which read the codes, but at the time I did have a brand new battery in the car that I was using to test a few things. I keep thinking its something to do with the battery....

Thnx.

curtizb, I am suffering from the same sort of issue with my reader and I have found that if I unplug it and re-plug it in, sometimes it will make it work. It is sounding like you have a pin somewhere that has been pushed in.
