Default Oil Question

Hi All
Just purchased a 03 X-Type and need to change the oil, its currently running on Synthetic and I would prefer to run on regular 5w30 as per the manual.
Do I need to flush the system or will the small amount of syn oil mix ok with the new. My guess is probably ok, I know that many prefer synthetic but I'm on the other side of the fence.
Not trying to start an oil debate, sorry I know this is a subject of contention.
Cheers Jeremy

I would think that if you let it sit overnight and drain the pan and change the filter there would be such an insignificant amount of oil film remaining that you should not have any problems.

If you are worried you could always run some flushing oil through it after draining the old oil.

Just change it. It'll be fine.

I have switched back and forth after not finding any gains to the engine when it came to idle smoothness or improved MPG. I just drained and refilled like I would during a normal oil change. All was good.
