Default One touch windows off?

We have one touch open and close windows in our Jag. I've been reading through the forums and found several threads on how to reset the windows so the one touch option works again, but I am looking for the opposite... is there any way I can turn off the one touch open/close functionality?

Thanks!
K.

One touch open will always be there. To disable the close one touch, disconnect the battery.

Whenever my battery has been disconnected it always resets itself I don't even go through the reset in holding the window button and all, so that won't work for long. Why would you want to disable this feature? You can lock the kids windows and passenger window if your trying to keep your kids from auto closing the windows or something. I'll be adding this feature to every single one of my cars from now on! Directed electronics make a module for this and you can also integrate it into aftermarket alarm systems so the windows roll up when the alarm is set...link...

I'm not sure why anyone would want to disable this feature either. Everyone that gets in my car just raves over this feature!

I love my one touch roof/windows.

One touch up is safety feature too. Antitrap is built in when programmed so as not to cut off the heads of little children or dogs.

Yeah lol! Hey jim did you see the device that you can add to any car? If the mondeo doesn't have it you can add it! And it isn't too expensive nor hard from my understanding...

The only reason I want to turn it off is because my wife and I are smokers...[sm=pimp.gif] yes, I know, bad for you, don't do it in the car... guilty. So we like to open the window just a little to let the smoke escape, rather than let it soak into the carpets, etc. It's kinda hard to get the timing on the window buttons right to get the window open far enough to flick the ashes out and let the smoke out, but not too far so that it doesn't blow the ashes on the back seat.

I know, now I'll probably get a million replies telling me to just quit smoking, etc and so forth... I'll quit when I am ready for that. [:'(]

Thanks!
K.

Why not leave the window cracked? Or if its too cold (well then maybe stop smoking in the cold!) get those things that you put on the top of the window...
