outside mirror adjustment no longer working

I am no longer able to adjust the driver or passenger outside mirror with the control panel on driver's door. Any suggestions on what I can check?

Are you sat in the passenger seat & therefore can no longer reach?

Sorry, No idea. I realise this was a pointless post but I couldn't help myself. sorry
