p 1000 Jaguar X type code
Hi there,
A p1000 code has been read after two lights start flashing on my screen and Pecus Error E show on the display. The error came when the temperature outside was -15. I have been in to few services in Bulgaria, but no one can idicate the reson for the problem, or clean the computer.
I will much appreciate if you can give any advice or information

P1000 would indicate the codes have been cleared and all monitors have not yet set. If you did not clear them with a code reader then most likely you have a bad battery. That would account for the pecus error and the code P1000. I would get the battery tested and make sure the terminals are cleaned and polished both at the battery and the connections at the other end of the cables.
After sufficient drive cycles the P1000 will set to P1111 which is all monitors are tested and satisfactory.

As Vern says in post #2, P1000 is a STATUS and not an ERROR.
1. If P1000 is stored in memory, the on-board diagnostic tests have not been completed.
2. If P1111 is stored in memory, all on-board diagnostic tests have been completed.
You will ALWAYS see either P1000 or P1111.
