Passenger dash started rattling all of a sudden
The other day I was taking my car for a ride with a box of stuff on the front seat and noticed the air bag light was on. I never noticed this before so I assumed it was from the weight of the box on the seat. Well anyway, after I unloaded the box, I was driving on a country road which was a little rougher and noticed a bad rattling sound coming from the passenger dash area. It seems to be coming from under the wood panel, or under the dash panel where the air bag would be. I don't know why this rattling started all of a sudden, it just started and doesn't sound good. I heard it again the next day or two but haven't heard it recently. Not sure where it's coming from or if it has something to do with that sensor, it seems to have gone away for now.
Check the defroster vents at the base of the windshield. The vents pop loose and rattle like crazy. Here's a link to a TSB....

...or you could also try gluing the plug in with superglue or silicone RTV.

Yea it probably is those. I noticed both vents just kind of float on top there. I tried to push them in and snap them back into place but they just kind of sit there freely. Probably where the rattle was coming from.
