Default Peak Back-up camera system

Hello all, 2003 X-Type here and looking to install a Peak back-up camera system I purchased for a really good price. I use to own a 2001 S-type with the back up sensor and really miss that system. The install is fairly simple per the instruction but my problem is that you must tap into the reverse light either the left or right side but I don't know which are the reverse light wires. I have read a lot of post here and looks as if the GREEN/BLACK - GREEN/RED are the reverse light. Does anyone knows!!!

Hi there,
Why not pull one of the reverse light globes to then see exactly which wire colours are used on the globe socket?

G-R is hot, simply use a y-tap to splice into the wire.

Pull the housing, look at the reverse lamp socket; center wire is the hot one!

Just so we are clear I removed the left rear lights and found that they all are connected via a single connector! There are no wires which lead to the various lights in the cluster. Can someone confirm 100% that the Green/Red - Green/black are for the reverse lights?

The centre pin on the reverse bulb will be connected to a silver track back to the connector - then check which pin that is on the connector and in theory you'll have the correct wire

Happy to help!

That green-black is actually available under the hood as well; it runs from the reverse switch on the transmission all the way back to the (US) driver's side reverse light, then across to the pass side.

I also realized that it runs to the harness for the reverse sensors, so the signal could have been stolen from that connector as well.
