Default Pics of 2008 Style Grille?

Hey does anyone have pictures of their X-Type with the Mina Gallery 2008 grille with the leaper still on the hood?

I'm probably going to order the grille tomorrow but I don't want to have the leaper removed. I understand many of you prefer the leaper removed with this grille, but I just want to make sure it doesn't look weird to me.

The only picture I can find is the one on Mina Gallery's website.

Thanks

more angles here, but you need to scroll down for the leaper phase.

ufoz8mycow, how exactly did you cover up the hole from the leaper? I assume you didn't buy a whole new hood?

filled and resprayed. If you lived anywhere else in the world (outside of North America), you wouldn't get the leaper. Lucky people.

What makes you guys not like the leaper? I think it's so iconic for Jaguar. I understand that it looks cleaner without it, but I can't get myself to remove it!

>I think it's so iconic

Agree, and it's legacy since all the new ones don't have one.

Tradition is important for the English but, seemingly, not the Indians...

Or the English. Even X-Types in England don't get the leaper.

Same here, recently saw a new XJ (beautiful car) driving down the road with a leaper attached to the bonnet. I felt awkward for the guy behind the wheel...you know, awkward like when someone gets up at karaoke and sucks but is totally sincere about it. Looked tremendously odd. To each his own though, as the saying goes.

Cheers.

A guy in my office has a new XK convertible with a leaper on it! I didn't even think it was possible.

The leapers on the back seat and shift knob are great.

Thumbs up

Looks smart. I think I prefer the flush fine mesh rather than the standard recessed ones.
