Check the XK8 forum. There is a video on replacing the pillar fabric.

I'm assuming it's the rear pillars. Happens to me in the summer when the windows are down. The wind must catch them just right and pull the fabric off.
I used headliner spray to put them back on. Just pull the fabric down about 50% and spray the pillar and fabric. Then slowly return the fabric in place Avoiding bubbles.

If you want a professional job, use 3M, 1357 neoprene glue. It's the product to use when failure is not an option. (used on Corporate jets to hold up the headliner material)(which is generally "ultrasuede")

The 3M spray cans are junk and won't last.

Aren't we talking about an X-Type, both the A pillar & C pillar trims are separate items & unclip for removal, wouldn't be easier to buy complete new (or rather second-hand) pillar trims?

I had the same problem... found a local guy who recovered both pillars for $140 and tucked them so they will never come off again....

Tried to use upholstry glue but it changed the color of the fabric and looked like crap.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to a local guy and he said he would do the same thing and tuck it so it doesn't happen again I think that's the way I'm going to choose because I don't want multicolored fabric would be just my luck
