Power steering pump to reservoir hose
Hello chaps!
2.2 diesel 114kW owner here.
I have a power steering fluid leak and my local mechanic tells me that its from the reservoir hose. Unfortunately they can't find me a replacement.
I don't live in the UK, so not many spare parts are available to me ( found only a few cars at demolition site abandoned for years).
Searching the world wide web does also not produce may results. Best I can find is SKU C2S26897 for the part.
Are there any alternatives for the hose? I mean it's just a pipe after all...

You will have a high pressure hose and a low pressure return hose.
The low pressure can be most any automotive hose, like a fuel hose. The high pressure hose may be repairable at a place that makes hydraulic hoses for tractors.
I am sure the part is out there you just need to find it. Most of all the diesel was sold in England.

jaggyver,
I see that you are referring to the reservoir to power steering pump hose for the diesel variant, which if correct then the part number is C2S26897.
It does appear to be list in stock at:-
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...ring-hose.html (UK seller - not a cheap part at 113GBP for genuine item).
https://www.terrysjag.com/product/C2S26897.html -(USA seller $81.65 USD currently, but you will need to check they can send to your country currently and what shipping cost - USPS has restricted international destinations currently so may have to go via DHL, UPS, Fedex).
You could also special order from one of the forum sponsors SNG Barratt 113GBP, but that would be coming out of the USA as well possibly via UK so the same logistics issues will be in play.
A UK source will be the closest option for you with likely better logistics cost and turn around times at present.
Larry-Cleveland has a very valid point...if a straight hose can navigate the pathway OK without collapsing, then any fuel/oil rated hose of the right diameter should suffice as you are on the low pressure side of the power steering system.
Even if you have to consider grafting in suitable elbow(s) to help navigate a tight bend locations. As long as the pipe doesn't leak and any joins are clamped properly you should be able to solve the issue.
