I want to renew several front suspension items on my '02 X-Type including the shocks. In the Service Manual it refers to a Powertrain Assembly Jack HTJ1200-2. Have people bought the jack for their personal use or is there a substitute? I don't mind buying special tools but, I can't even find one available.

 

Not sure if you're still trying to find a HTJ12002, but I saw something that should here that looks close. Really expensive.

The equipment concerned is a generic hydraulic/pneumatic transmission stand with adjustable locating arms. It is not an essential tool for the job as there are plenty of alternatives out there.
