Default Pricing spark plugs.

I went to my local trusted guys and he gave me a quote on a spark plug change for about $360. I knew there would be a lot of labour so there were no surprises on that portion, but almost half of that is parts, as the spark plugs are $22 each he says.

Now I was there when he called his parts guy and he seemed blown away too. Most things I have come across said to use Autolite Double Platinum and those seem to run between $4-6. I also came across a 4pack that was $22, so do you think that was maybe a mistake on the part guy's end?

Before anyone tells me to do this myself, I have changed my own IMT rings and water pump and that's about it. I am not overly comfortable taking my manifold off, and I know there are very specific measurements involved with not overtwisting (torquing?) sparkplugs.

G o out and buy your own plugs and supply them. There are manifold gaskets etc involved too but 150.00 in parts is silly! It's probably rated as 2 hours labour.
