RE: Quad tips at their finest!
I agree Jim, a little too much chrome for my taste, but very well done mods and he takes pride in his vehicle. I have never seen the chromed lower grill fin. I guess he had that done custom as opposed to a cap?
And I like pedal treatments. I am getting ready to order some from Ultimate Pedals myself, they have a custom set for the X Type. I have the templates. They will add a logo on it for you, a leaper of the Jaguar name logo. Very nice if you ask me.
Sometimes it is the little things that make a difference. My X Type has a beautiful hand painted pinstripe running down the side. It is two tone, to match the ivory/tan interior. And over the front door handles, there is a very nice hand painted leaper in the lighter stripe color. For all I know it is a one of a kind.

Not trying to start a debate, but I checked again. That is not tape and those are not applied tips, unless they have a stencil for the entire stripe, if that is what you mean. Is is definitely painted on, there are subtle differences to each side. There is a name paintedonto each side, in the darker stripe. You can just see it in the picture of the fender, justup from thezig zag pattern. I assume the leaper is some sort of a stencil, maybe the whole thing is, I don't know. But is is definitely paint.
I have striped a lot of cars, probably a dozen or more, with 3M tape and I am pretty good at it. I have worked with tips and other swirls, but only with tape and never paint. I have seen it done with paint and my hand is not that steady. Like I said, this may be a stencil that you can get at the dealer and then just add the paint. But even at that, there are subtle differences in the two sides that show it is paint, but nothing that distracts from the quality of the workmanship.
