I searched this forum and couldn't find a solution.

As you know, when you turn off the ignition to the x-type, the doors unlock and the interior lights come on. Is there a way to turn this feature off. I do not like the fact that my interior lights come on every time I turn off my car. I don't mind that it comes on when I open the door, but I'm annoyed by the automatic unlock feature and how it makes my interior lights come on. I'm at the point where I might just remove the bulbs. lol

Is there a way to turn off the automatic unlock feature or turn off the feature that makes the interior lights come on?

 

The lights come on whether the doors are locked or unlocked before you switch off.

It maybe an option in the dealer coding

 

The Owner's Handbook does not indicate how to turn-off this feature.
