My 2009 Xtype came back from a non-dealer service today with "system PIN" showing on the radio. Grr.

I've tried the >> + amem + pty combination, as well as the eject + pty combination, and neither of them does anything.

Any ideas?

Dealership said they can look for me on Monday, but I'm wondering if I've a bigger problem, as the >> + amem + pty combination apparently only doesn't work if the radio isn't the original one from the car.

Ideas people? :-(

 

I read on another forum that it doesn't work on post 2007 cars so I don't think you need to worry. Once the dealer gives you the code all should be fine.

Just an update to say that Perth Jaguar were happy to receive scanned proof of ownership by email, and emailed back with the code - free of charge!

 

That's good, I hate not having music on when I'm driving - it drowns out my wife!
