Default Rattling at speed and over speed bumps

Sounds like loose silverware. Can only hear it when I am driving next to other cars or in enclosed spaces. Seems to rattle as I go over bumps too.

Ok- I am pretty sure it's coming from the rear of the car. Not sure it it's the rear suspension or not though. But it rattles if I am going thru an uneven road or bumps. It ***seems***to be coming from the right rear wheel, but not entirely sure. And I can not replicate the sound by putting weight on either rear wheel.

EDIT:: after looking thru the archives and some YouTube videos it seems like it's my sway bar.
Parts are pretty cheap, not sure if I can do this one on my own though

replacing the rear sway bar end links is quick and pretty easy.
i have worn out many of them and now recommend buying genuine jaguar endlinks.
pretty cheap for new ones on ebay.
aftermarket ones tend to snap

Hi Spikepaga.
I too have a rattle which I hear only when the window is fully down and I'm driving over rough roads. I have not been able to pinpoint the location of the rattle but have found that if the drivers window is put down, then slightly raised, the rattle vanishes ???.
Obviously something within the door mechanism. However giving the door a "bash" either on the inside or outside, with the door up or down does not recreate this rattle.
Try this....you never know.

Alan in sunny Malta (with mainly very rough roads).

Well it seems like the important part of getting this job done right is buying original parts. A few posts of aftermarket parts failing too soon.

good job on getting the bushings, i should have suggested that.
the end links sometimes break off leaving a threaded stud in the sway bar. ive had this happen twice and both times required a replacement sway bar... approx $50 for a used one on ebay

Replaced sway bar links and bushing with genuine parts. Rattle is still there.

i did notice that the rear calipers seem new on this car. I bet something is not properly adjusted in that area, but I still can not find the culprit

I had a bad wheel bearing, sounded like I had a beat up tin can on my driveshaft.

Solution to this problem was definitely the rear pad clip that was missing. No more rattling over bumps or bumpy roads

To find out where is the rattles drove the car on bumpy road is hard to determined where the rattle came from, instead use some thing to simulate a bump such as a piece of 2x4 or 4x4, find a place like a desert country road or a parking lot to lay that piece down on the pavement, rolled down all windows (turned off radio), first drive the car over the "bump" on the front wheels, listen to hear any rattle? If you heard the rattle, then drive over bump again but with one wheel each side to determined which side, if you don't hear rattle in the front end then drive over the bump by rear wheels and repeat the same procedure as the front.

For what it is worth, my rattle was the socket rolling around under my spare tire. Put it back up in the space where it belonged, and blessed silence!
