Question Rear Bumper removal / replacement Tips hints please

Unfrotanatley my rear bumper has been damaged, and I have sourced a second hand one from Flee Bay.
Getting in sprayed is not a problem, but fitting it maybe, so any Tips and advise would be greatly recieved.

Joe, replacing the rear bumper cover is pretty straight forward. The big thing to keep in mind is to undo all the bolts and then pull out on the upper corners of the cover where the cover meets the wheel well. There are tabs that hold the cover in place and they need to be released before the cover will come off. You simply need to pull the corners out about 2" or so to get all the tabs released. As you pull it out, you will feel when they are all free.

I would also recommend using a few towels on the ground to protect the new cover from where you park the car. This will prevent getting fine scratches in the new paint.

One last thing, are the bolts located under the car or behind the tail lights or both, or do I need to remove some of the interier trim to get at them?

Joe, when I removed my rear bumper cover, all the bolts were accessible from under the car. No need to access anything from inside the trunk that I can recall. There are bolts on the inside edge of the bumper cover that you will need to reach under then up to access. They are near the back marker lights. Don't forget to undo the plugs for the parking aid sensors before trying to lift the bumper free too. There is some slack, but it is easier to get them loose by reach under than fighting to hold the bumper cover as you reach in then. Having a second person with you will make the job easier. Granted, you can do it by yourself (trust me).
