rear end rebuild quote
I was advised at my last wheel alignment that my rear bushes were showing signs of wear.
I had my mech put her on the hoist and he showed me the wear including a cracked bush on the RHS.
I got him to quote for the repair job (including 2 new shocks) and he quoted me $3500 AUD for the whole job - parts including labour. I thought this was quite reasonable considering the extent of the work involved - what do you think?
I am sure if I went to the dealer they would have quoted double this amount.

I rebuilt my rear end excluding "shocks" a few years ago. Wasn't very hard nor cost prohibative. Only thing you need to be aware of is don't torque everything until the weight of the car is sitting on the components warding off undo "twisting" that will wear the bushings out quicker.
