I love the way a conversation on here can start from car boot carpets and end on German war boats

@ Blues:
Business first (we answered your question), pleasure afterwards (haven't we earned it?)

And there is even music for this "party":
I guess, not everyone knows that the Music-group "U96" did have a big Techno-hit with the song "Das Boot"... - it's easy to find on youtube...

PS:
"U96 - Das Boot" is from 1991. Huge hit in all the Nightclubs in Germany, which would have included the "Dorian Gray", the nightclub inside of Frankfurt Airport, which sadly had to close the doors for good at the end of the year 2000 due to fire safety concerns. They had great DJs putting on the music in the Dorian Gray, one of them was Thorsten Fenslau - who was the best in my opinion. Sadly he died 1993, when he crashed his Mercedes Convertible onto the tree late at night after being part of the party, where they opened a new nightclub near Darmstadt - he had too much to drink... So there is even more music for the party here: There are many complete session on youtube, which can easily be found by looking for "Torsten Fenslau Dorian Gray"...

Also the Peter Kay comedy series "Phoenix Nights" featured a pub video game called "Das Boot" in one episode,
Really funny scene.

Granted, the most accurate submarine movie out there is "Down Periscope". I can tell you names of people that I have known that match every one of the characters. I was also on the boat that Hollywood Types came to for the making of the movie "Crimson Tide". Needless to say, it started off with Navy support, but they changed so much stuff about what a submarine looks like on the inside that the Navy pulled their endorsement. Still looking for bilge bay. LMAO.
