Hey all, i am doing a water pump change, and i am wondering whether to use red or green prestone, also i was advised to get most of the old coolant out... Can i just drain the radiator, and refill with prestone, or do i have to do a whole flush? Because the flush looks hard to do. Thanks alot!

 

Cory, red, green, orange, any of the colors will work as long as you get all of the old stuff out first. Replace your water pump and then fill and drain the system a few times. You will be able to tell when most of the coolant is out of your vehicle. If you don't want to drain it all out, look and see what color you currently have and go after that color. The antifreeze is colored so that you can tell what can be mixed with what. As long as it is the same color, it will be the same type of coolant.
