Replacing the Power Steering Pump

Replacing the Power Steering Pump
Good afternoon everyone!
I am having some trouble replacing the power steering pump on my 2003 Jaguar X-Type. I was hoping someone with more knowledge about performing this job could assist me in getting it done.
Attached is an excerpt from the Jaguar Repair Manual for swapping it out, however, I don't know if I'm supposed to jack the car up and access it from under the wheel well or from the top.
Please help?
Thanks in advance,
Tommy

Access is best achieved by jacking up the car and removing the wheel. Once it is on stands and the wheel removed you can remove the wheel arch liner and will be able to see the front of the engine.
The arch liner is held on by a combination of screws and plastic push rivets. The easiest is to cut the head of of the rivets and just install new. Once the arch liner is out of the way it is much more accessible.
