Default Replacing spark plugs

Hi i wanted to know if there is a way i can change the spark plugs on my 2002 jaguar x-type 3.0 myself?

murda, yes it can be done at your house. But, it isn't like the older cars where you simply pull off the boots, undo a plug, put the new plug in, and reconnect the wire. Move on to plug #2. With our cars, you have to pull the entire intake off of the vehicle to access 1 side of the motor. You are looking at about a 3 hour project to do the plugs. There's a "how-to" about doing the plugs. Do a search in the forums and you will find it. You don't have to pull the throttle body out (which requires draining coolant, but you will need to undo the throttlebody on both ends of the intake so the throttlebody coolant lines can remain connected.

Don't forget to replace the intake gaskets. Not a necessity, but since you are this far into things, it doesn't hurt to make sure that you have new stuff in there to prevent future problems.
