Default Reprogramming the windows RESOLVED

Sorry my search-foo is poor this morning and I can't locate the chain of postings on reprogramming the windows after a battery disconnect (much shame on display)

Had the drivers headlight bulb replaced and the battery was disconnected. Everything works other than the windows won't automatically go back up (i.e., the up button must be held otherwise the windows stop moving).

I know this has been covered in the recent past, but I can't locate the chain (even more shame now fully on display...).

Can someone point me to it?

All the way down, hold for a 'click', all the way up, ditto !

Simple. Just roll the windows up, release, then [again] hold the button in the up position for at least 5 secs. Repeat for each window. This is standard across all cars (some require 10 secs though).

Default reprogramming does not work

Hello

I have a problem with this window one_click movement. 3 windows agreed to be reprogrammed but the 4th will not work automatically no matter what I do or for how long...
The 3 that work are so easy to reprogram. After re-powering the car I just click up on the window buttons and you hear relay click and that's it. Not for the 4th .
Now the three that are good don't click if you try to send them up if they are all the way up, but the 4th relay does the click every time.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Have you tried the window reset at the window in question, and not from the drivers door?

I had the very same problem as you. The front passenger window did not cooperate. I did the reset at all windows, and it was fixed.

yes, I tryed everything, on the driver switch and on the culprit window switch! I took off the fuse a few times to reset all windows and then tried again the reprogramming

Hmmm, might need to have the dealer disable and then re-enable the one click feature. Sometimes this is called the global opening and closing feature.

I went to the dealer and they said I need the whole power window mechanism which is about 500 euros... not worth. I was hoping there is a way to trick that relay.

Seems kind of expensive, considering that the window does go up and down no problem. It just doesn't do the one-click trick.

If you had the Mongoose and JLR, you could do what I suggested the dealer could do.

Maybe a tech here has an answer?
