Resetting the sunroof
A few days ago I posted a question regarding the sunroof on my 02 X-Type. I think I was misunderstood. What happened is, while I was closing my sunroof, I turned of the car and the sunroof was still half open. If you have ever done this you know it screws it all up and it will not not work properly until it is reset. I just need to know how I reset it. If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

RE: Resetting the sunroof
Try this.
Close all of the doors and hood.
Key in pos II engine not running.
Hold both the driver window and passanger
window switches in the driver door panel in the closed or
up position for 5 to 8 seconds after the windows are closed.
Release buttons.
Remove the ignition key.
Operated the remote twice. lock/unlock lock/unlock.
This will reset the UEM brain.
This can correct faulty operation of the sunroof
and/or erratic door lock function.
Using the key in the drivers door to lock/unlock
lock/unlock will also reset the UEM ----
Upper Electronic Module.

RE: Resetting the sunroof
Does this also apply for the S-type? I have an 01 3.0 and the sunroof will only go back half way then a little bit more and bit by biit all the way back(have to release the switch every time for it to keep going back), but I only need to hold it once for it to close. I try the "resetting" and nothing. After opening it and closing it about ten times it will open all the way a few times and then will go back to giving me crap....also I can't get the one touch to work (not sure if the s-type has it)...thanks!

RE: Resetting the sunroof
Follow these instructions exactly...and you'll be good to go.
Press the switch to operate the roof panel to the fully tilt position.
Release the switch. Press the switch again in the same direction,
fully tilt and hold for 30 seconds or until the roof panel moves
slightly. Release the switch and, within 5 seconds, press in the
same direction and hold. The roof panel will travel automatically
to the fully open position, then back to the fully closed position
and then stop.
