Default Reversing Lights

The reversing lights on my wife's 2004 X-Type 3.0 Auto are not working and not sure what to look for next.
I have replaced the easy bits, bulbs and fuses but I cannot for the life of me figure out where the switch is, I have looked at a lot of online pictures but as I am not totally auto repair savvy I cannot figure them out.
Any help would be much appreciated as her inspection is due this weekend.

Derek, you are looking at 1 of 2 issues. You are looking at either a bad switch on the tranny or the relay in the fuse box is bad. If you need more info, let me know.

If you do need assistance, please include the month/year that the car was made. THis is written in the driver's door jam. There were slight wiring changes made in early 2004 and the fuse numbers changed and some other minor changes occurred.

Derek, as it's an auto, there is no specific switch, only a relay that might or might not be serviceable, depending on Model Year. The change came with MY 2004.25. The relay is operated through the CAN via the Instrument Panel.

In the earlier cars, the serviceable relay is R17 (It's marked up) in the cabin fuse panel. In the later models the relay is in the same fuse panel, but is a built-in item and that cannot be changed except by fitting a whole new fuse panel.

In earlier MYs the fuses are F79, 10A and F94, 20A in the cabin fuse panel. In later MYs it's F2, 10A, cabin panel again
