Default Sat Nav mounting

Hi bit of advice please.
I am considering fitting a Dash cam and hard wiring it. Where would you suggest I take the feed from? I thought perhaps the front interior light. Bound to be a permanent live In there!
Or where else is easy I don't really fancy going into the glove box fuse unit. It's very awkward for me.
Suggestions please.

Dunks,

Are you thinking of adding an entirely new Sat/Nav component (Garmin, TomTom, etc) to your console in addition to the existing entertainment system, retrofitting your existing system with a used Jag Sat/Nav unit or replacing your existing entertainment system with an aftermarket one which has Sat/Nav included?

If you are adding a Garmin/TomTom, etc - you can grab +12V from the Orange-Yellow feed to the roof console or either vanity mirror Orange-Yellow feeds. You can ground using the Black wire on any of these locations also.

So many options, so few choices...

Thank you for your advice.
I grow old. My brain says one thing and my fingers type something different.
I mean DASH CAM not SAT NAV although the cam has sat nav info.
I can however still use your info.
